Love for Arts

I love the night and I love the blues and I love the sound of the ocean and city lights and the aroma of apple cinnamon and hyacinth and a kind man’s coat collar turned up.

I love the sparkles of tiny glitter and I love fizzy soft drinks and the way a clean breeze pops the light gauzy curtains from the window still and the girl in blue, her black hair flowing down while she does her work and I love the way there’s still love and hope at the center of life and the way we are often free to ask and answer and learn and enjoy and walk and see and smell the sun drying clothes on the old clothesline outside.

I love the yellow bridge on Old Tasso Road and the sound of rain when I open the window and the smiles when people are learning something good together and I love the word together and the way history bears down, but history lifts up too, and songs roll out from somebody’s heart and soul and we are all immortal and we are all Beloved.

I love books and sometimes the curious things found in books, like the red and gold souvenir ticket that says “U.S. Mail Delivery Trip, Sophie C., and the yellow and black ticket that says “WIN WIN WIN” at the outer edge.

And I love the moon and the possibility of love and hope and that moon is a gentle soul, its face turned toward us, always kind and wishing the best for us.

Now I hope to send you some more good music about love and never pay attention to those unfriendly pop-ups. They are not true blue and they are not for you. Only love and good music for you, while we sail out tonight on the Sophie C., this beautiful evening, with romance in our hearts.

You never know. Real love still happens:) Hope on!
